This is a used example that shows some wear and scattered spotting. The chinstrap is missing and there is one small tear to the leather sweatband at the back seam. There is a size 58 sticker on the sweatband. The vent is marked S.D.G.D. These pith helmets were used by the Luftwaffe early on and did not have insignia, it has been noted on the WAF that fake Luftwaffe insignia has been added to helmets like this to boost up the price. This is not the rare German issue blue pith helmet, but captured French stock.
