quality of craftsman ship and was
made for export. A nice example

EC4 Schleutermann 98/08 Bayonet: A decent example the shiny blade shows some small areas of spotting. Someone has sharpened this piece on a grinding wheel though. It doesn't look too bad and could be honed out. The metal fittings are very nice as are the wood grips. The spine is marked with a Crown W 17 along with a six pointed star. The scabbard appears to be an old repaint and has one dent in it. The frog shows wear and tear and had a nail through it at one time where it was hung on a wall.

EC5 Japanese Bayonet: A nice example manufactured by the
Nagoya Arsenal. The blade is uncleaned and has some old grease on it. There is some graying and spotting to it. It is unsharpened with no dings in the cutting edge. The quillon and have some light surface rust. The lug button works perfectly. The wooden grips shows some like dings but no cracks or chips. The scabbard shows light rust and one small dent. The finish is worn away where the frog was.

EC6 Mosin Nagant Bayonet with Ersatz scabbard and Frog: The bayonet is in very good condition with  60%+ of the finish remaining. It has several markings on it. The metal scabbard is in good condition with no dents and traces of the gray/green paint remaining. It has the round lug which indicates German manufacture. The leather frog is very good with one small hole in the back where it was hung from a wall.

EC7 WWI Austrian Bayonet Frog: This piece is made of thick sturdy leather. It is still very supple and shows its age from wear. The piece is unmarked.

EC8 WWII German Dress Bayonet Frog: A nice sound example showing light wear and use. It should clean up very nicley.

A good example showing use and wear. The piece has some cracking on the lower front but is still solid. The buckle strap is complete and solid. The back is stamped 19.
