Grouping to Jakob Wegner 215th Infantry Division

Here is a very nice document and medal grouping to Jakob Weger, a Theology student
at the Uinversity of Freiburg. It consists of 3 student id's with his photo and two award documents
and the accompanying medals. The first set is for the wound badge in black awarded on 18.12.41 while
assigned to the 435 Ers. Inf. Batl. 435.  It comes with the black wound badge which is maker marked "107". The badge shows wear and some light rust.  Second is the Iron Cross 2nd Class document. This  was issued 6 Jan 1942 and signed by the Div. Commander Lt.Gen. Baptist Kniess. It also comes with the corresponding medal which is a nice example and maker marked "55". It comes complete with the original ribbon. He must have been recovering from his wounds at the time he was given these awards. A nice grouping worthy of further research.
