Set of 6 Early NSDAP Election Posters &
Pamphlets
Here is a truly rare offering. This lot consists of six early Nazi party
election posters and pamphlets, that were from the Munich area, the heart of the
movement.
Item 1 is a 6 x 81/4 inch single sided handbill for a speech by Julius
Streicher on 2.April 1933.
The piece is in very good condition with some light creasing and minor edge
tears.
Item 2 is a 6 x 81/4 inch single sided handbill for a mass meeting to
explain the Party NSBO to all workers that attend. 7 April 1933. The piece is in
very good condition with some light creasing and minor edge tears.
Item 3 is a 9 x 12 1/2 inch poster from 1933 for the "Battle Front Black-Red
White", the part of Paul von Hindenberg in Berlin. This is single sided
and in very good condition with some light creasing and minor edge tears.
Item 4 is a double sided Nazi newspaper measuring 8 3/4 x 11 1/2 inches. It is
dated 1 April 1933.
This was specifically for the Gau Munich area and promised harsh treatment for
the Jewish people living in that area, by the SA and SS. This is very
anti-Semitic and the bottom reads:
"Don't buy from Jewish businesses!"
"Stay away from Jewish doctors and lawyers!"
"Boycott the Jews!"
Item 5 is an 8 3/4 x 12 inch double sided handbill recapping the promises of
Adolf Hitler in the 1933 Reichstag election. This piece has some edge wear and a
tiny piece missing from the top.
Item 6 is a 7 x 10 1/4 inch single sided handbill produced by the Bayerische
Volkspartei, and depicts the SS and SA in a violent street battle. This is
surrounded by bloody headlines from the newspapers. Light wear.
This is an amazing grouping and very few of these pieces have survived.
All of these are two hole binder punched. These pieces were from the collection
of Ray and Josephine Cowdery.
